Cómo lo calculamos
  1. Federal income tax$83,900.00 of taxable income after the standard deduction$13,170.00
  2. Tax after nonrefundable credits$13,170.00
  3. Federal withholding$15,000.00
  4. Estimated refund$1,830.00
Supuestos del cálculo
  • Tax year 2026. Federal income tax uses the standard deduction and ordinary brackets from Revenue Procedure 2025-32. Itemised deductions, IRA/401(k) adjustments, AMT and other credits are not modeled, so tax can be too high.
  • Withholding is the amount you enter from Form W-2 box 2 (and 1099 withholding). This page does not apply Publication 15-T tables or a Form W-4, because those tables are not in the snapshot.
  • No self-employment profit was entered, so Schedule SE tax is $0 and AGI is the gross income you typed.
  • EITC earned income is wages plus 92.35% of a positive SE profit, even when that figure is under $400 and Schedule SE is not filed. A Schedule C loss reduces earned income. Other adjustments are not subtracted, which can mis-time a credit phase-out.
  • Additional Medicare Tax (Form 8959) applies to combined W-2 wages (entered gross income) and net SE earnings over the statutory threshold ($200,000 single, $250,000 MFJ). NIIT, state tax and local tax are not modeled.
  • This is not a filed return and not tax advice. A real refund also depends on credits and income this page does not ask for.

Reembolso fiscal (Tax refund)

  • Tax from the published schedules. Federal income tax uses the 2026 ordinary brackets and standard deduction. Self-employment profit is added to wages, then the deductible half of Schedule SE tax comes off as an AGI adjustment. The child tax credit and earned income credit use that AGI, and the same engines as the dedicated pages.
  • Payments you actually made. Federal withholding and estimated payments are what you type. The page does not apply Form W-4 or Publication 15-T, because those percentage-method tables have not been transcribed.
  • What is left out. Itemised deductions, retirement contributions, the alternative minimum tax, education credits, state tax, NIIT, and Additional Medicare Tax on W-2 wages (this page has no box 5 input). Leaving most of those out usually overstates tax. Omitting W-2 Additional Medicare can understate it.
